In fact, these work arrangements can benefit both genders. However with <a href=\"https:\/\/digicommercegroup.com\/insights\/women-in-ecommerce\/?preview_id=3181&amp;preview_nonce=dde0a2d7b8&amp;preview=true&amp;_thumbnail_id=3256\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>women<\/strong><\/a> feeling the primary effects of juggling childcare and career, it is also a gender equity issue. Some key considerations need to be made before companies can implement of workplace policies<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>Continued Engagement<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Companies must ensure they maintain opportunities for their workforce to engage management about concerns such as reduced career opportunities. Working from home or part-time can decrease connection to colleagues, access to mentorships and the associated social capital. The pandemic highlights the need for companies to employ tools and organize virtual events that foster those connections while working from home.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>Appreciate remote work<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>90% of<a href=\"https:\/\/app.keysurvey.com\/reportmodule\/REPORT5\/report\/41525910\/41237515\/1129a3119d4820dd602a54213303e23e?Dir=&amp;Enc_Dir=a5fd6ae7&amp;av=IxnIBAm77ac%3D&amp;afterVoting=d344f680accd&amp;msig=9f63ecae9cb176d5f38a0e801e0b91ff\"> <strong>employers<\/strong><\/a> have found that productivity has remained constant or improved between March and October of last year. The pandemic was an opportunity for many outdated negative perceptions surrounding flexible work arrangements to shift.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many technology companies are designing new flexible work policies to ensure career development and growth. Moreover, women&#8217;s participation in the workplace was at an all time high in 2019.
